Job Title: Information Technology - SAP/OpenText DMS Migration Specialist

Pay Rate: $15 - 20 USD per hour (Independent Contractor)

Location: Offshore, Texas (Remote - India)

Contract Duration: 3 months

Job Description:

Role Summary:

The SAP & Filesystem to OpenText DMS Migration Specialist is responsible for migrating enterprise documents and attachments from SAP systems and legacy file systems into an OpenText based Document Management System (DMS). The role ensures secure, accurate, and compliant migration while preserving metadata, version history, and SAP business object linkages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate documents and attachments from SAP Content Server, ArchiveLink, SAP DMS, and file systems to OpenText DMS.
• Analyze source repositories, document structures, and metadata to plan migration approach.
• Ensure correct linkage of migrated documents to SAP business objects including materials, BOMs, change records, and PLM objects.
• Validate document completeness, integrity, metadata accuracy, and version history post-migration.
• Support testing cycles, cutover activities, and issue resolution throughout the migration process.
• Apply document retention, archival, security, and compliance policies during migration.
• Collaborate with SAP PLM, Basis, DVM, Security, Data Migration teams, and OpenText vendors.
• Provide migration status updates, identify risks, and track issues to resolution.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Years of Experience: 5+ years in SAP document and content management.
• Strong experience in SAP document and attachment migration projects.
• Hands-on experience with OpenText DMS and SAP integration.
• Experience migrating content from SAP Content Server, ArchiveLink, SAP DMS, and file systems.
• Understanding of SAP document linkages and business object relationships.
• Experience in ECC to S/4HANA or large SAP transformation programs.
• Knowledge of document retention, archival policies, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Work Environment:

• This is a 100% remote position based in India (Offshore resource requested).
• Independent contractor arrangement.
• Candidates must have reliable internet connection and ability to work during overlapping hours with Texas/US teams as needed.
