    Description

    Join our team as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Corrugated Boxes) at our company located in Jinja, Uganda, East Africa!

    Experience Required: 8-10 Years

    Reporting Structure:

    • Functionally to: Head of Engineering
    • Operationally to: Factory Manager

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all machines in the electrical areas
    • Regular cleaning of electrical panels with a technician
    • Conducting weekly preventive maintenance of machines
    • Managing the electrical spares store and planning procurement of spares
    • Regular checking and maintenance of printing machines, compressors, boilers, ETP, and power control room
    • Monitoring and maintaining proper transmission of power to all machines
    • Calibration of equipment and ensuring synchronization of drives
    • Checking for leaks and maintaining equipment efficiency

    Qualities and Qualifications:

    • Engineer / Polytechnic in Electrical discipline with 8-10 years of hands-on experience
    • Preferably around 35 years of age
    • Experience with corrugator / printing machines such as Ming Wei, TCY, Topra
    • Work experience in African continent / Middle East within the corrugated carton industry
    • Fluent in spoken and written English
    • Willingness to work in shifts and be available 24x7
    • Physically and mentally fit
