    Job Description: Educational Counselor (2+ Years of Experience)

    Salary: 20k-25k Per Month.

    Location: SB Road, Pune 411016

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Educational Counselor to join our institution's counseling team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in educational counseling, providing guidance and support to students in their academic and personal development. The Educational Counselor will play a pivotal role in assisting students in making informed decisions about their educational paths, setting achievable goals, and ensuring their overall success.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Student Guidance: Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students to help them understand their academic strengths, interests, and career aspirations. Assist them in selecting appropriate courses, majors, and career pathways.
    2. Academic Planning: Collaborate with students to develop personalized academic plans, taking into consideration their academic history, strengths, and weaknesses. Help students set realistic goals and create strategies to achieve them.
    3. Career Counseling: Offer guidance on potential career paths based on students' interests, skills, and goals. Provide information about various professions, industries, and the job market trends.
    4. College Selection: Assist students in researching and selecting suitable colleges, universities, or educational programs that align with their academic and career objectives. Provide information on admission requirements and application processes.
    5. Application Support: Support students throughout the college application process, including helping them write effective application essays, preparing for interviews, and submitting required documents.
    6. Personal Development: Address students' personal challenges that may impact their academic progress, such as time management, stress, and study skills. Offer strategies to improve overall well-being and success.
    7. Workshops and Seminars: Develop and deliver workshops, seminars, and presentations on various educational and career-related topics to help students make informed decisions.
    8. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions, academic plans, and student progress. Prepare reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders.
    9. Stay Updated: Stay current with trends in education, career opportunities, and counseling techniques to provide the most up-to-date guidance to students.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in educational counseling or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of academic pathways, college admission processes, and career development.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
    • Empathetic and patient approach to counseling, with the ability to address students' emotional and academic needs.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with counseling software and tools is a plus.
