    Job Description

    Position Summary

    Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle. Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules. Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering. Develops specifications for new contract orders, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing efficient practices.

    This role is often the voice of the site to other areas of the business, such as Solutions Consultants, Project Managers, Supply Chain, and Production Control Analyst's. They are expected to communicate clearly, accurately, and through data and facts. To achieve this and to meet the manufacturing schedule, this role may be expected to work overtime during the week and/or weekend.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate Standard Plan inventory fulfillment requests.
  • Material availability tracking, monitor material delivery dates against Planned Assy Start dates utilizing IFS or GEC shortage reports.
  • Manage material exception / critical shortage reports.
  • Expedite critical shortage materials to maintain production and OTTP dates.
  • Managing inventory accuracy, dispositioning of excess and short materials, assuring system to physical quantity accuracy
  • Facilitate material returns on unused, incorrectly received, or defective components.
  • Reserve, create Pick Lists and Issue material to Shop Orders
  • Receive Panel shop service (labor) PO's
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Educational Qualifications / Work Experience:

  • Minimum 4 year degree in Engineering or related field, or,
  • 3 years diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) or equivalent recognized courses from Industrial Training Institutes or
  • BSC or MSC in science with relevant experience in the equivalent field
  • Excellent Communication skill – oral and written. Good command over English language shall be preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a multi-national company.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing support, Supply chain or similar support role.
  • Minimum 5+ years, Preferred 8+ years of experience with SAP and IFS
  • Knowledge of transportation/logistics, production reporting, and Inventory control, and international transportation / logistics
  • Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and outlook.
  • Knowledge of ETO/Engineered to Order manufacturing processes.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills required, and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Quickly adapt to change in processes, product, and job functions.
  • Possess a high sense of urgency to effectively address problems or gaps identified.
  • Process driven, executes according to a defined method.
  • Be able to interact with several roles to effectively solve some problems. This role can be the conduit between the manufacturing site and our offsite PCA, PM, SC, supply chain, logistics, and engineering.
