Our supply chain is critical in delivering cement from manufacturing locations to consumption centers, requiring an agile and responsive approach to serve both urban and rural customers.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

• KRA1: Cost Optimization and Efficiency Improvement

  • Conduct route mapping to find alternative routes and freight options, creating a database of toll masters and fleet availability by sector.
  • Provide inputs on cluster inflow and outflow of the fleet based on market survey and prevailing market freights.
  • Resolve disputes on freight payments and claims with Accounts and primary operations teams.

• KRA2: Customer Service and Supply Chain Management Excellence

  • Educate primary and secondary vendors on the Vendor Appraisal System and encourage them to participate in technological initiatives.
  • Evaluate actual performance, analyze performance gaps, and initiate corrective steps with the team to achieve desired Customer Service Levels.

• KRA3: Distribution and Dispatch Planning

  • Finding scope for improvement of truck turnaround time inside the Plant on a continuous basis.
  • Communicating packing bag brand-wise requirements to Manufacturing.
  • Evaluating infrastructure available for truck loading and allocating a loading time window sector-wise.

• KRA4: Operations Management - Primary and Secondary Execution

  • Allocating orders to transporters through the vendor portal and getting visibility of order acceptance from vendors for despatch planning.
  • Coordinating daily on fleet requirement and priority movement, sharing of fleet efficiencies, and reasons for variance.

• KRA5: Operations Management - Primary and Secondary Execution

  • Using GPS solutions to get visibility of GPS-installed trucks towards the Plant and interacting with vendors for non-GPS fleets.
  • Ensuring vehicle availability as per shift requirement by developing suitable transporters for each sector.

• KRA6: Transport Safety

  • Ensuring Plant transport safety meetings regularly and working in alignment with the transport safety committee meeting.
