  • Its a Multi Country Role. Countries Include : India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh ( SAARC Countries)
  • To competently manage the Medical and scientific affairs Department in India
  • Collaborate with the commercial team and build medical strategy for India.
  • Assist and advise Marketing on all promotional activities, and to ensure compliance with the relevant promotional Codes.
  • As a member of by the Medical Affairs department, ensure appropriate support and training provided to all other functions.
  • As a member of Medical Affairs Department, provide scientific and clinical input the into key commercial initiatives as required, including new product introductions and related product evaluations.
  • Establish and develop strong relationships with key external customers including KOLs, Professional Associations, Healthcare Institutions for strategic development of India business.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's portfolio of products, the relevant therapeutic areas and the medical environment in India.
  • Ensure medical/clinical/scientific support/guidance and training is provided to all other functions.
  • Provides appropriate support to the Investigator Initiated Studies/Research projects in the country.
  • Liaise with external authorities/organisations/institutions as required
  • To comply with the company's policies and procedures to meet statutory, quality and business requirements within the overall strategy and objectives Abbott Laboratories Ltd.

    To adhere to promotional codes for the Pharmaceutical Industry in all aspects of work

    To be cognizant of, and agree to adhere to relevant Abbott SOPs and Guidelines.

    This is a senior position in which a low level of supervision is anticipated along with project responsibility and interaction with senior management.

    Directly accountable to Regional Medical & Scientific Affairs Director, and indirectly to the General Manager

  • MBBS or a degree in Microbiology
  • Higher professional qualification desirable but not essential
  • 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/IVD industry preferred but not essential.
