    Description

    Must Haves :

    • 3+ years experience working as a Java Developer within Java
    • Experience with JDK8 and JDK11.
    • Proven knowledge on OOP (Object Oriented Programming) concepts.
    • Experience with Frameworks such as Struts & Spring.
    • ORM Frameworks Hibernate, JPA.
    • Build Strategies such as Ant, Maven.
    • Worked on at least one application server (Jboss 4+& 7+, Tomcat 8+, Weblogic etc.).
    • Moving to Tomcat 9 and/or Tomcat 10.
    • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and/or Material.
    • Experience in ITSM tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.
    • Experience in Requirement management tools like Atlassian Jira or similar tools.
    • Experience with Source code control systems like ClearCase, Bitbucket / GitHub Web hooks or similar.
    • Container Deployments with Docker, Kubernetes or Redhat OpenShift.
    • Hands on experience in unit test coverage using Junit or similar.

    Soft Skills :

    • Good communication skills (verbal/written).
    • Good understanding and highperformance applications leveraging design patterns, best architecture/coding practices.

    Day to Day :

    • Insight Global is seeking 3 Mid level Java Developers to support a multinational power management client of ours.
    • This team will be rewriting 48 applications that are running on an old operating system.
    • The current environment is running on Redhat Linux 5 and they will be responsible for moving these applications to Kubernetes on a Open Source platform.
    • This is mainly backend responsibilities but there may be some small tweaking in terms of front end code once it's moved over to the new server.
    • These resources will be joining a team of 4 other developers and a lead.

    Compensation :
    - $10/hr to $ 20/hr.
