    Nxtwave is actively seeking a Security Engineer to join and play a critical role in the establishment and growth of our IT & Security team. As a foundational member, you will not only influence the strategic direction of the Nxtwave Security program but also spearhead our efforts to build secure and compliant systems from the ground up.     Skills & Experience

    • 3 years of experience in Networking and Security Software Space with at least 1+ years of experience in Compliance, implementing compliance requirements, collecting evidence from engineering systems, performing penetration tests, ethical hacking and/or vulnerability assessments on endpoint products & applications.
    • Knowledge of System functionality including power shell, bash etc.
    • have a good understanding of web application-level attacks.
    • Should have knowledge about compliance ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2 , HIPAA etc.
    • Must have implemented the requirements of these compliance into systems. Must have attended audits in front of the auditor.
    • Should have hands-on Experience in Security Tools (SAST and DAST) & Systems such as BurpSuite, Kali Linux, Nessus, ZAP, Qualys, etc.
    • Should have good knowledge of secure design practices, Threat modeling and common software vulnerabilities such as CWE top 25 and OWASP top 10.
    • Should have a good understanding of Threat and attack landscape, latest security trends, attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and how they are leveraged by malicious actors.
    • Good understanding in Cloud Security Architecture and fundamentals including containers, AWS, software-defined networks, high availability design, multi-cloud, and serverless compute.
    • Experience working in an AGILE environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Spearhead the setup and implementation of security measures and protocols.
    • Lead initiatives to ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and HIPAA, among others.
    • Develop and execute strategies for continuous security and compliance improvement.
    • Design, implement, and manage security infrastructure and solutions.
    • Conduct risk assessments and security audits, and manage remediation plans.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to create and enforce security policies and procedures.

    Work Location: Hyderabad
