    Description

    Understands cost targets /estimates and develops delivery plans including tough choices and recovery plan (if required) in line with program cost & budgets.

    • Understands and actively supports program sourcing strategies in line with purchasing, finance and program timing needs.

    • To work very closely with supplier product development teams during proposal development

    • To work closely with design studio teams to review the feasibility of surfaces released and providing feedback and issue resolution.

    • Overall project management

    • Tracks AIMS & Concern status and supports timely close-out of issues.

    • Providing analyses and resolutions on faults and/or errors

    • Communicate issues with key stakeholders in a professional manner.

    • Supports and enforces program specific milestone approvals.

    • Supporting CAD, DPA and Physical Design Verification (DV) testing to support Engineering Sign-Off

    • Support onsite launch support both domestic and international as well as VO Assembly Plants

    • Support homologation / regulatory testing at test locations like ARAI, NATRIP etc.
    Able to successfully bring cross functional team together across different cultures & time zones to ensure repeated delivery of your own & shared objectives.

  • Hands on Design and Release Experience in plastics trims especially in commodities like Cowl grille & extension dash panel (Plastic), Plastic spoilers, Door Appliques, Black out tapes, badges, decals, washer bottle, bumpers, either in a OEM or Tier 1 supplier
  • Package and/or CAD (CATIA V5 / Unigraphics / TCE / VisMockup) experience is essential.
  • Experience in Engineering Plastics material selection
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the issue resolution process. A broad understanding of all major vehicle systems and a customer focused mindset is required to facilitate this process.
  • High energy, self-starter, with the ability and desire to take the responsibility to deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and courage to effectively communicate key issues and make informed recommendations to senior management.
  • Team player with a positive, flexible can-do attitude and innovative mindset.
  • Excellent in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to lead and work with a cross functional team across international time zones.
  • Work closely with suppliers/engineering/manufacturing/purchasing/quality/craftsmanship to ensure the lowest cost and best quality solution.
  • Knowledge with Automotive design processes / Systems engineering
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing
  • Excellent project management skills to work with the team(s) to meet targets and objectives on time.
