- Leading Lean management initiatives at shop floor level of production plant and Laboratory by working closely with production managers of respective blocks/units.
- Act as a champion and change agent for driving positive culture change and improving operational efficiencies while deploying new techniques and tactics.
- Identifying Non-Value added activities in the manufacturing processes at our manufacturing & R&D site.
- Able to train employees on 8 types of waste, lean principles, 5S, Lean Six Sigma, VSM etc.
- Implementing Lean Six Sigma processes to significantly improve:
- Productivity of the people
- Quality of the current manufacturing processes at the site
- Cost of goods
- Delivery performance of sites
- Personnel safety at the site
- Compliance to business processes
- Drive Daily Management (Based on TQM, TPM & WCM practices) & culture (Ideation machine) to build project pipeline.
- Able to identify issues of the business in collaboration with process owner and develop a list of improvement projects.
- Providing support to the Site Management and functional leaders in the development and deployment of OE Program, utilizing continuous improvement methodology across all projects.
- Lead periodic OE updates with the site leadership team and conduct reward and recognition.
- Experience in WCM (World Class manufacturing) practices such as TPM, TQM and Daily Management etc.
- Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt Certification and Lean management Certification. Able to drive Lean Six Sigma/5S concepts at multiple levels independently
- Effective communicator across all levels of the organization.
- Able to lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience in Value Stream Mapping, Work place standardization etc.
- Ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups.
- Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- Person having minimum experience of 6-10 years of Lean Six Sigma & Operational Excellence drive in related industries.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, MBA etc.
- Must be aware of the production cycle in API / Chemical industry with knowledge of budget costing
- Demonstrated ability to implement new techniques and continuous improvement programs at all levels of manufacturing operations
- Experienced and certified Black / Belt, Green Belt or Lean Expert
