- Uses deep technical knowledge to design, code, test and/or customize software solutions to meet or exceed client requirements, adding market/industry trends as necessary.
- Determines systems software design requirements.
- Develops security solutions for assignments increasing in complexity.
- Develops program logic for new applications or analyses and modifies logic in existing applications.
- Modifies existing internal software products to add to new functions, adapt to new technologies or methods, improve performance or enhance product usability.
- Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency and makes changes as required.
- May be developing as a generalist and become more involved in various aspects of a project including firmware, hardware, architecture, database warehouse and mining, database design and analysis, software development and testing.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of work experience under their belt.
- Experience with distributed data tools: Databricks, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with relational SQL including Postgres and MySQL.
- Knowledge of RESTful API creation, Git.
- Knowledge of Python or Java.
- Be comfortable with modern agile software development workflows.
- Value teamwork, communication, transparency and structure.
- Be eager to take the lead and ability to meet deadlines.

and responsibilities:The engineering team builds, maintains, and scales the platform that ensures that data on Data Link is up to date, accurate, and reliable. As a SeniorSoftware/Data Engineer on this team, you will contribute to building a scalable and fault-tolerant data platform that cleans, transforms, and loads data from a variety of sources and delivers it in whatever format our users choose to consume it in. We use modern development methodologies with short sprints, careful code review and continuous deployment. We have built out a micro-services architecture using AWS, Databricks, Rails and Python. We believe that the key to productivity is for every team member to know precisely how their work helps our customers and our business. As such, we place a premium on transparency, communication and shared understanding of tactics and strategy. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.
