WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Senior Knowledge Analyst (SKA) within BCG's Principal Investors and Private Equity (PIPE) Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, providing expertise and insights across PIPE topics (e.g., Commercial Due Diligence, Fund Strategy, Portfolio Acceleration, etc.). You will work together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis and expert advisory in several of these areas. The team uses a variety of number of digital and advanced data analytics tools; and you will be expected to develop expertise on those. You'll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams, helping to structure and solve complex issues. The ideal candidate should have a robust foundation in statistical methodologies, complemented by hands-on experience in data mining and predictive modeling techniques such as Linear Regression, Clustering, and Classification. As an Analyst on our team, you will be at the forefront of building crafting data models, implementing automation and developing API connectors, within our existing framework. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel is essential, with expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Familiarity with data management using Alteryx is a significant advantage.

Additionally, you will support your team's efforts across PIPE sectors in developing existing & new intellectual property and knowledge assets. You will work on commercialization efforts for, in conjunction with business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences and publications. As a Senior Knowledge Analyst you will assist with on-boarding, training and guiding junior colleagues and share best practices within the team.

BCG's PIPE Practice Area works with the world's largest investment firms, serving six client asset classes: Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Infrastructure & Real Estate Funds, Family Offices, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Pension Plans. Likewise, PIPE topics cut across not only these asset classes, but also across industries (e.g., Health Care, Consumer, Technology, etc.) and sub-topics (e.g., Tech Capital, Private Credit, Environmental, Social and Governance, etc.).

YOU'RE GOOD AT

• Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches in one or more relevant PIPE topic areas
• Codifying knowledge and maintaining assets and tools across the PIPE practice based on different client contexts
• Utilizing Python, SQL, and Excel, leveraging visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, and managing data with Alteryx.
• Communicating with senior stakeholders, in a credible and confident way
• Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
• Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas
• Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• 2-4+ years industry experience or consulting experience (preferred, but not required)
• Bachelor's degree with strong credentials and relevant coursework
• Fluency in English required
• Experience working with third party databases / data sources
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment

You will also collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.BCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
