    Responsibilities:

    - Shopify Development (1.0 and 2.0):

    Extensive experience in Shopify development over the past.

    Proficiency in both Shopify 1.0 and 2.0 platforms, with a focus on building and maintaining scalable e-commerce solutions.

    - Shopify App Setup and Configuration:

    Demonstrated expertise in setting up and configuring Shopify apps to meet client requirements.

    Proven track record in guiding clients through the app setup process and ensuring seamless integration with their Shopify stores.

    - Integration with Third-Party Systems:

    Strong background in integrating Shopify stores with third-party systems and platforms.

    Hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, and other integration methods to synchronize data and streamline business processes.

    - Shopify Data Handling:

    In-depth understanding of Shopify data handling processes and best practices.

    Track record of implementing key changes in Shopify data management to improve efficiency and optimize performance.

    - Local Development of Shopify Themes:

    Proficient in local development of Shopify themes using tools such as Slate, Shopify CLI, and ThemeKit.

    Skilled in customizing themes, implementing design changes, and ensuring a seamless transition from development to production environments.

    - Custom Build of Shopify Apps and Integrations:

    Highly regarded experience in custom building Shopify apps and integrations tailored to specific client needs.

    Proven ability to develop robust and scalable solutions that enhance the functionality and performance of Shopify stores.

    About the role:

    The Senior Shopify developer will oversee, execute, and support new and ongoing client engagements (project and support).

    Take the lead in defining the solution, developing, and deploying unique Shopify themes, apps, and integrations that satisfy business needs and improve user experience.

    Work with our internal team and outside partners to integrate Shopify with different platforms and systems, like marketing automation tools, payment gateways, ERP, and CRM.

    Create and manage unique Shopify applications and plugins using Shopify APIs and other pertinent technologies.

    In consultation with the broader team, assist with tracking, analysing, and improving e-commerce performance by putting data-driven solutions into place for inventory management, sales trends, and customer behaviour.

    Keep up with the most recent Shopify updates, APIs, and best practices.

    Identify opportunities for streamlining our workflows, and practices, and maximising the Shopify platform.

    Assist junior developers with their needs and mentor them, offering technical advice and support.

    Good to Have

    Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, and experience with modern frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, )

    Shopify 1.0 and Ruby knowledge highly regarded

    Experience using CSS pre-processors

    Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines

    Building responsive sites from provided designs and a strong understanding of UI/UX principles
