    The Role

    Purpose of the roleYou will be part of our digital construction team who help use digital to improve one of the most physical activities that humans do:
    Construction.

    You will analyse data using Power BI from construction projects to turn it into something that can be used manage projects.

    Developing MVP products and standardized approaches to project data.

    Develop scalable and repeatable best practices and tools in collaboration with the team so that long-term impact is achieved and make sure that every report is telling a compelling data story.

    Must-Have (The fundamentals)Mastery:

    A qualification educated in one of the following:
    Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalentent. 3+ years of working as a BI Lead and developed BI reports that are used across an organisation. Experience of designing organisational data models.


    Communication:
    Proficient communicator in written and verbal English


    Leadership:
    A relentless approach to dealing with people

    A track record of making projects and organisations better beyond just doing the basicsNice to Have (If you don't have it now you will be trained intensively after joining)Mastery:

    Proficient Excel skills


    Microsoft Certified:
    Data Analyst Associate would be great to have. Experience of other BI tools e.g. Tableau, QuickSight, QlikView. Wider knowledge of the Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, DataVerse etc. Coding experience in SQL or Python. Microsoft MVP would be nice to have.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________Frequently Asked QuestionsCan you tell me more about what the role is like?You will be revolutionising the construction industry by creating a digital repository of reports to manage their projects better.

    This has not been done before in construction You will be one of the first people in this team and handling a lot of challenges to standardize data, creating data models, working on the user journey and anything related to data to create a fully-fledged product.

    So, the first thing you will need to understand is the whole process of how we will create this product together so you can get a better understanding of why we do the things we do.

    You will translate those requirements into wireframes so we can find the best way to create data stories and help our users to make the best decision-making processes based on the input we provide.

    All these processes will be developed based on best practices, so we know that whatever we deliver is robust.

    What kinds of projects would I be working on?It isn't uncommon for people to be exposed to several projects in their first year of joining us.

    You will work on many types of complex projects including; data centres, highways, railways, nuclear power plants, and pretty much any other type of complex project you can think of.

    ()Who are our clients?Our clients include major Owners/Operators, Main Contractors, and Subcontractors, with project values between £1m and £1B+ globally.

    Where would I be working?For this role you would work remotely.

    How does what I do connect with the long-term impact on the construction industry?As a consultant in the field, you will be tasked with understanding and solving common problems.

    We don't want to reinvent the wheel every time so you will be responsible for documenting new solutions and evolving existing ones we have developed.

    The improvement never stops. This will go into our knowledge repository which we are going to open source to the industry.
    The knowledge you capture will be used to develop new products which we will build.

    You will constantly be testing our products in the field so that we can rapidly iterate and improve them for anyone in the industry to use.

    Base salary for this role depends on your capability level and will likely fall in the £8,288-£31,913 range
