You will be working as Medium Voltage Drives Sr Engineer with grade 13 reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be part of Motion Business for System Drives division, based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be responsible for acting as a designing authority for an engineering discipline with medium complexity. Completing assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for preparation of order specific customer drawings and production documentation of various families of medium voltage AC variable speed drives
• Participating in discussion with customer or consultant for approval of drawings and during inspection in factory
• Maintaining on time generation of drawings and achieving first pass yield above 95%
• Coordinating with vendors of drive system components for engineering documentation and contributing towards localization of product components
• Participating in special testing requirements at other factories or customer sites
• Specification and evaluation of components of packaging projects like transformers, motors, switchgear panels, UPS, PLC panels, cables

Your background

• Degree or Masters in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with engineering or testing of variable speed drives, and associated IEC/IS standards and HW & SW dimensioning tools
• Familiarity and practice of all safety requirements including procedures, PPE, practices, hazard reporting etc
• Knowledge with operation and maintenance of switchgear, PLC, motors, transformers and understanding with SAP and CAD tool like Eplan/ACAD Electrical
• Good communication skills – spoken and written English
