    Job Title Head of Technology


    Position Overview The Head of Technology will lead and manage all IT operations of the school, ensuring the effective use of technology to support teaching, learning, and administrative functions.

    This role requires developing and managing various IT teams, choosing appropriate hardware and software products, implementing educational technology tools, and digitizing manual processes.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
    • Proven experience in a senior IT management role, preferably within an educational institution.
    • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, educational technology, and digital transformation.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
    • Ability to stay current with emerging technology trends and best practices.

    Role & Responsibility

    IT Operations Management:


    • Oversee all IT operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the school's technology infrastructure.
    • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring costeffective use of resources.
    • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.

    Team Development:

    • Recruit, train, and manage IT staff, building small teams focused on different areas of IT work.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
    Hardware and Software Selection:


    • Collaborate with the purchase department to select appropriate computer hardware and software products.
    • Conduct research and provide recommendations for IT purchases that align with the school's needs and budget.

    Educational Technology Integration:

    • Select and implement educational technology products, tools, apps, and platforms, including adaptive learning platforms.
    • Stay abreast of evolving technology trends and ensure the school's IT and elearning needs are met.
    Process Digitization:


    • Lead the digitization of manual processes, including HR, administrative, and financial processes.
    • Implement systems for recruitment, onboarding, payroll, annual appraisals, exit interviews, and reward and retention schemes.
    • Digitize financial processes such as cash vouchers, ledgers, and other accounting systems.
    Web Platform Development:


    • Develop new web platforms inhouse or recommend and implement offtheshelf platforms that meet the school's needs.
    • Ensure the platforms are userfriendly, secure, and scalable.
    Strategic Planning:


    • Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the school's vision and goals.
    • Conduct regular assessments of the school's IT infrastructure and make necessary improvements.
    Support and Training:


    • Provide technical support to staff and students.
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance IT skills and promote effective use of technology.
    Vendor Management:


    • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
    • Negotiate contracts and ensure quality service delivery.
