Role andResponsibilities
The GIS Analyst will beresponsible for conducting data research and analysis includingidentifying candidate datasets based on specified requirementsevaluating new data and thirdparty information services andproviding suitable data samples or visualizations. They will alsodeliver timely accurate data and research reports providestatistical and spatial analysis of datasets and act as the initialSubject Matter Expert for the new datasets. Additionally the roleinvolves engaging in data consultancy offering advice to internalstakeholders in the product and software engineering teams.
CandidateQualifications
The ideal candidate shouldexhibit attention to detail possess an inquisitive nature and havea desire to understand and resolve problems. They should have atleast 2 years of experience in a data analysis role involvinggeospatial data and practical experience with GIS software such asQGIS and ETL software such as FME for data preparation analysis andpresentation. Familiarity with database technologies such as Oracleor PostGIS practical knowledge and experience in Python and SQL aswell as experience in analysis results presentation and writingincluding the use of PowerBi are also required. Additionallypractical experience of datasets related to climate change andtheir analysis ispreferred.
