As a Mainframe z/OS Database Administrator specializing in IBM Db2, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Db2 databases on the z/OS platform. This role requires expertise in database design, performance tuning, security, and collaboration with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of critical business applications.
Responsibilities:
1. Database Installation and Configuration:
Install and configure IBM Db2 databases on the z/OS platform.
Collaborate with system administrators to ensure seamless integration with the z/OS operating system.
2. Database Design and Modeling:
Participate in the design and modeling of Db2 databases.
Work closely with application developers to align database structures with application requirements.
3. Security Management:
Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, authentication, and
