    Description

    The QA Engineer will be responsible for scripting, verification and validation of new features, functionalities, and defect fixes to our Drupal Content management system and integration with Ecommerce systems. This position will work closely with the QA Lead in the creation of manual test scenarios and execution of test cases, analysis of test results, detection and documentation of defects, and validation of fixes.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Accelerate test expansion to ensure better delivery and improve the quality of our products.
    • Build and implement a scalable, reusable test cases for STLC validation.
    • Work with team to set best practices and standards for testing & train quality assurance personnel to enable them to use it.
    • Create new or modify existing scripts for regression testing that cover front end and back-end validations.
    • Setup data for testing scenarios
    • Represent QA during story definition to ensure that QA team has provided input and achieved understanding of any new features before development completion.
    • Analyze functional requirements and determine test approach for functional and regression testing of functionality and UI on desktop and mobile.
    • Work closely with local and onshore team to drive the required testing efforts for planned releases to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing efforts.
    • Collect and analyze metrics, prepare test status, and test results summary reports.
    • Troubleshoot issues, document defects and retest defect fixes.
    • Participate in release management, available after hours for code releases and smoke testing.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience in quality assurance and/or testing of software, websites, or other applications designing, developing, executing and maintaining quality test suites.
    • Proven experience testing eCommerce mobile app, web, and native applications in a multi-browser/device/OS environment
    • Experience in API testing via tools like Postman.
    • Experience in automation execution.
    • Experience in Drupal CMS a plus.
    • Proven experience of working with onshore team

    • Ability to communicate in technical and non-technical terms to all levels of staff.
    • Ability to work independently against multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
    • Able to take on additional tasks and responsibilities in order to accomplish team goals.
    • Strong drive to improve, optimize, and identify opportunities for software quality.
    • Knowledge of JavaScript, XML, DHTML, and CSS a plus
    • Experience with agile methodology a plus.
