    Description

    Role Summary

    This role requires to play a key role in overseeing the design, operation, and maintenance of pipe extrusion equipment and processes. This position also requires expertise in pipe extrusion technologies, and a proactive approach to optimizing production efficiency and quality.

    Roles and Responsibility:

  • Design and optimize pipe extrusion processes and equipment to meet production targets and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for extrusion machinery to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues with extrusion equipment and develop solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for equipment upgrades and process improvements.
  • Evaluate new technologies and materials to enhance product performance and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all engineering activities.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians in pipe extrusion processes and best practices.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.

    • Role Specific Competencies:

  • Diploma Mechanical/ ITI fitter.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the pipe extrusion industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pipe extrusion processes, equipment, and materials (e.g., PVC, HDPE, PP).
  • Experience with process optimization, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (TPM, 5S, Tool Box talk, Risk assessment, PTW, JHA, ).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to pipe manufacturing.
