    Job Title: Group Consolidation & Compliance Head

    Job Description: We are seeking a Consolidation & Compliance Head to join our finance team.

    Loction - Mumbai

    CTC - Upto 70 LPA

    Experience Years Max not more than that

    Industry prefference - Retail || FMCG || Product Based || D2C

    The purpose of the Head of Group Consolidation & Compliance head is to ensure the accurate consolidation and reporting of financial data , foster transparency, trust and credibility in the financial reporting process. In addition, the role will be responsible for managing the business facing aspects of direct tax and indirect tax matters supported by a central shared services organisation. Key responsibilities of the role include analyzing performance of each legal entity, reviewing their financial position, driving corrective actions, and leading enhancement in overall reporting quality and uniformity, ensuring timely information for tax assessments, structuring business transaction in tax effective manner. Building strong relationships with auditors and finance teams promotes transparency. Overall, the role facilitates informed decision-making, fosters financial stability, and ensures compliance within the group.

    • Management of Consolidation Process:
    • Overseeing the consolidation of financial statements from all subsidiaries and business units.
    • Coordinating and managing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for consolidation.
    • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of the consolidation process according to accounting standards (Ind AS, IFRS, etc.) and internal policies.
    • Financial Reporting:
    • Preparing consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Reviewing and analyzing consolidated financial data to identify trends and potential issues.
    • Preparing reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors.
    • Ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
    • Account Reconciliation and Account Management:
    • Overseeing the reconciliation of intercompany transactions between subsidiaries.
    • Managing the consolidation of the general ledger and other financial accounts.
    • Reviewing and investigating discrepancies in financial data.
    • Systems and Controls:
    • Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls for the consolidation process.
    • Staying up-to-date on accounting pronouncements and ensuring their proper application within the consolidation process.
    • Overseeing the consolidation software system and ensuring its smooth operation.
    • Direct & Indirect tax management
    • The Direct and Indirect tax filings including transfer pricing and assessments are handled by Central Shared Services organisation and are not a direct responsibility of this role
    • The candidate is expected to partner with Central shared services organisation for ensuring policy compliance by the business, providing necessary information for various tax filings and appeals
    • Closely working with business teams on GST compliance, guiding them on GST matters, reviewing contracts and processes to ensure they are GST compliance
    • Team Leadership:
    • Leading and mentoring a team of 10-12.
    • Assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring team members have the skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
    • Other Responsibilities:
    • Working with external auditors during the audit process.
    • Providing technical accounting support to other departments within the company.
    • Participating in projects related to financial reporting or accounting system improvements.
    • Integration of acquired businesses into RBL processes and ERPs
    • Direct and Indirect tax coordination with the central shared services organisation
    • Participate in M&A and other special projects and initiatives as assigned by management

    Qualifications for Consolidation Head:

    • CA with 12-15 years of experience in financial consolidation role of which 5 years must be in audit department of a Big 4
    • Strong understanding of Ind AS, IFRS, or other relevant accounting standards
    • Experience of working on SAP
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Leadership experience (for senior positions)
