    We are seeking a Generalist Sourcing Lead to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across critical business categories. As a key member of our Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement team, you will drive tangible results and help shape the future of McDonald's.

    McDonald's has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, we are standing up a new Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Organization (IS&P). This organization will help McDonald's to better leverage our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities.

    This role presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as the Sr. Director, Generalist Sourcing Lead. You will own a large book of work across sourcing for indirect categories (IT and Non-IT) and across analyst team capabilities, ultimately supporting McDonald's in its journey to becoming a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader.

    As a key member of our IS&P leadership team, you will oversee a large pool of general sourcing practitioners and junior analysts, focused on career development and growth to elevate best-in-class status. You will ensure resources meet the required competencies for IS&P capabilities and employ leading practices on a fit-for-purpose basis.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute strategic category plans, identifying opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process optimization within sub-categories.
    • Competitively source through engagement of strategic suppliers and application of industry knowledge.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure favorable terms that meet business requirements.
    • Drive innovation, cost savings, and operational efficiency through sourcing initiatives aligned with the company's broader business strategies.
    • Ensure sourcing strategies and supplier relationships align with McDonald's compliance requirements and risk management frameworks.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 4-year degree, MBA preferred.
    • 10+ years of relevant experience in sourcing in a highly complex environment, in a Global landscape.
    • 5+ years' experience leading teams and managing multiple projects.
    • Experience in conducting influential discussions with executive leaders.
