    A Sales Executive for a Japanese food import company plays a crucial role in driving sales, establishing relationships with clients, and expanding the company's market presence. Your responsibilities will revolve around building and maintaining relationships with clients, promoting authentic Japanese food products, and achieving sales targets. You will be a key ambassador for the company's products, fostering connections with businesses interested in Japanese cuisine. Your role will encompass sales strategy development, customer engagement, product knowledge dissemination, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient order processing and delivery.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Identify potential clients and establish strong relationships with restaurants, supermarkets, wholesalers, and distributors interested in Japanese food products.
    • Understand clients' needs and preferences, and offer tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
    • Achieve sales targets by actively prospecting new clients and expanding the company's customer base.
    • Present the company's range of Japanese food products, highlighting their quality, authenticity, and unique features.
    • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and clients.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of the Japanese food products the company offers, including ingredients, sourcing, production methods, and cultural significance.
    • Effectively communicate the value and benefits of these products to potential clients.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences related to Japanese food products.
    • Use market insights to identify opportunities for new products or modifications to existing offerings.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to penetrate new markets and segments.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales efforts with promotional campaigns and branding initiatives.
    • Coordinate order processing, shipment, and delivery logistics to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to clients.
    • Address any order-related issues promptly to maintain strong customer satisfaction.
    • Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring consistent communication with clients.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales forecasts.
    • Generate regular sales reports and updates for management to track progress and make informed decisions.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, logistics, and finance, to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
    • Attend trade shows, industry events, and business meetings to represent the company and promote its products.

    Qualifications/Knowledge, Necessary Skill, Experience, and abilities requirement

    • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the food industry or Japanese food products sector.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships and effectively conveying product information.
    • Business acumen and negotiation skills to close deals and achieve sales targets.
    • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of Japanese cuisine and food culture.
    • Results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
