    Job Title : Manager-Technical Service, Cleaning Solution (CL)
    Reporting to : Head of Applied Innovation, Care Solutions - India

    Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Cleaning Solution (CL) formulation lab and supervise a team of 2 lab technician to develop new & innovative formulations and customized solutions for the region in line with the segment targets.
  • In-depth understanding on differential Cleaning Solution (CL) product formats, concepts prototypes and applications. Expertise in designing Cleaning Solution (CL) formulation for home care, industrial & Institutional cleaning.
  • Having strong knowledge of ingredients & use in different formats, prototypes, etc
  • Ensure development of the required infrastructure, competencies & capabilities at the center to deliver projects within the desired quality, quantity and timelines.
  • Establish and maintain network within the Global Care Solution (CS) team for technical exchange, co-development and to foster innovation culture.
  • Interface with customers on regular basis to understand their unmet needs and deliver superior and consumer perceivable technical solutions.
  • Provide technical and product trainings to team members, Sales colleagues/ Customers & Distributors. Support sales organization with troubleshooting customer technical challenges
  • Represent Evonik in Industry seminars, exhibitions, tradeshows, fair, etc.
  • Support marketing in regional competition & trends mapping, in generating market insights and research on recent innovations.
  • Responsible for the safety in the lab including proper documentation status, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper utilization of resource through efficient prioritization of projects and workloads.
  • Create an encouraging and motivating work culture for the team members.
  • Ensure career path for the team member is discussed and developed constantly.
  • Education & Experience Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry with minimum 5 years of experience in Home, Industrial & Institutional (HI&I) Cleaning or M. Tech or Master's degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering with minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Application/ Technical Service lab of Home Care specialty chemicals company or FMCG.
  • Excellent understanding of Cleaning solution chemistry, especially in designing of new formulations and application formats for HI&I products with core experience & expertise in Cleaning area.
  • Additional Skills & Abilities required for this position

  • Experience in Stakeholder Management, Project Management and Cost Management.
  • Ability to manage opportunity & risk in commercial & industrial applications; understand & connect implications to drive technical projects successfully.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Willing to travel at least 30% of the time
  • People Management Capabilities: experience in leading and mentoring teams
  • Willing to travel at least 30% of the time.
  • Capable of making decision for his own team on day-to-day activities (related to smooth operation of labs, projects, etc)
  • Influencing skills: Ability to convince & take decisions in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Capable of proposing innovative solutions and solving Customer problems through technical support
