Role Summary:

As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and

security of our databases, with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL Server environments.

Additionally, knowledge of PostgreSQL databases will be advantageous. You will play a key role

in fine-tuning our databases to eliminate performance bottlenecks, writing efficient stored

procedures, and ensuring best practices in database performance, security, and backup

procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the

security and integrity of the company database.

Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and

versions when required.

Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in SQL Server databases.

Design and implement efficient stored procedures to enhance database performance.

Ensure that storage, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures are functioning

correctly.

Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with established standards,

policies, and configuration guidelines.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of PostgreSQL databases, including maintenance,

performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Collaborate with development teams to advise on database operations, security

concerns, and efficient data retrieval.

Knowledge of .NET Core (C#) development environment is a plus, providing insight into

application integration and database management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL

Server environments.

Experience with PostgreSQL databases.

Expertise in database performance tuning, backup, and recovery procedures.

Familiarity with .NET Core (C#) is considered an advantage.

Strong understanding of SQL, including the ability to write efficient stored procedures

and queries.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
