Protect and Deliver

We are seeking an Experienced ESD Engineer to drive the ESD activities critical to ensuring the long-term performance and robustness of semiconductor devices.
This role is key to establishing a reputation for delivering highly reliable ESD products for advanced applications.

About the Role

Develop and implement various protection devices and methods to protect integrated circuits from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and latch-up.
Conduct literature surveys, perform different process and device simulations, and plan experiments using statistical and computerized tools.
Design and develop devices and methods for ESD and latch-up protection of integrated circuits, perform debug and failure analysis for ESD devices and related circuits.
Serve as the focal point for ESD and latch-up issues, providing support and consultation to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Define the ESD methodology for all silicon developed by DF1 and specify the chip and IP level ESD requirements.
Design and develop devices and methods for ESD and latch-up protection of integrated circuits, perform debug and failure analysis for ESD devices and related circuits.
Conduct literature surveys, perform different process and device simulations, and plan experiments using statistical and computerized tools.
Provide support and consultation to internal and external customers on ESD and latch-up issues.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Background: Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics or relevant fields.
Experience: Significant experience in the VLSI field with a deep understanding of semiconductor physics and practical engineering skills.
Familiarity with international ESD standards and test methods.
Proficiency in the design of semiconductor devices and electrical circuits, as well as experience in electrical measurements and characterization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information.
Innovative thinking and the ability to find creative solutions to technical challenges.
