    Overview

    The SafetySupervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe work environmentfor all employees as well as compliance with safety regulations andprotocols. They are responsible for developing and implementingsafety procedures conducting risk assessments and providing safetytraining to staff.

    KeyResponsibilities

    • Oversee and enforcecompliance with safety regulations andstandards
    • Conduct regular risk assessments andimplement measures to mitigate potentialhazards
    • Develop and maintain safety proceduresprotocols and guidelines
    • Provide safetytraining to employees including emergency responseprocedures
    • Investigate incidents and nearmissesand implement corrective actions
    • Coordinatewith regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with all safetyrequirements
    • Conduct safety audits andinspections to identify areas forimprovement
    • Participate in the development ofemergency response plans and procedures
    • Leadsafety committee meetings andinitiatives
    • Review and update safety policiesin line with current best practices
    • Assist inthe procurement and maintenance of safety equipment andgear
    • Monitor and analyze safety data toidentify trends and areas forimprovement
    • Collaborate with management topromote a safetyoriented culture within theorganization
    • Manage and maintain safetydocumentation and records
    • Participate inincident and crisismanagement

    RequiredQualifications

    • Bachelors degree inOccupational Health and Safety Environmental Science or relatedfield
    • Professional certification inOccupational Health and Safety (e.g. CSP CIHOHST)
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in a safetysupervisory role
    • Strong knowledge of safetyregulations and standards (OSHA NFPAetc.)
    • Experience in conducting risk assessmentsand developing safety procedures
    • Ability todeliver effective safety training and educationprograms
    • Proficiency in incident investigationand root cause analysis
    • Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills
    • Ability to lead andinfluence crossfunctional teams
    • Strongproblemsolving and decisionmakingabilities
    • Indepth understanding of emergencyresponse protocols and crisismanagement
    • Proficient in safety data analysisand reporting
    • Ability to maintainconfidentiality and handle sensitiveinformation
    • Proficiency in MS Office and safetymanagement software
    • Ability to workindependently and collaboratively in a fastpacedenvironment
