    Head of the Department of Media Science and Journalism

    Position Details:

    • Designation: Head of the Department
    • Media Science and Journalism

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Delivering engaging lectures and practical sessions.
    • Mentoring and guiding students in their academic and professional development.
    • Oversee the day-to-day academic and administrative functions of the department.
    • Plan and monitor teaching assignments, workload distribution, and academic schedules.
    • Ensure proper conduct of internal assessments, practical examinations, workshops, and seminars.
    • Coordinate with university authorities for approvals, documentation, and compliance matters.
    • Conducting research and contributing to the academic community.
    • Collaborating with industry professionals to enhance curriculum relevance.

    Requirements:

    • A PhD in Mass Communication.
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an HoD of Media department (preferable).
    • Over 6-7 years of academic experience.
    • Academic qualifications and experience as per UGC guidelines.
    • Strong academic background and research experience.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Industry experience in media or journalism (preferred).
