    We're looking for an experienced and dynamic senior HR professional to support Alliance Bernstein's India office which is growing at a transformational rate, with mid office and front office role across all asset management classes.     Our Senior People Business Partner will be an entrepreneurial, motivated and commercially-minded leader who will partner with business heads to help drive business results, while creating and strengthening a differentiated culture and high talent organization. This is an important role with excellent visibility for future growth and is currently envisioned at the Assistant Vice President level.

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Develop AB India's identity as a responsible employer, in terms of career opportunities, people development, compensation, diversity and work environment.
    • Address the larger challenges of the inorganic business growth within the region in terms of leadership culture, performance management, and people engagement.
    • Support organization change as AB India meets the challenges of hyper-growth across businesses.
    • Enhance AB India's competitiveness by maintaining critical staffing levels and talent profiles.
    • Support India's strategy and transformation by driving a high-performance culture and working on skill development and enhancement.
    • Provide HR support to the India business to ensure the alignment of HR initiatives with business strategy and local regulations, including a full spectrum of advice and guidance in relation to the employee lifecycle and operational implementation of the global HR strategy and its roll out to our client group.
    • Thought partner for VP/Director of People, and drive the People plan for India, with liaison to India Leadership for synergy and consistency across all business verticals.
    • Liaise with regional senior management across functions, provide commercial and credible advice.
    • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with internal client base and provides advice on all HR issues to management and employees.
    • Ensure that all People delivery is managed in compliance with People policies and regulations.
    • Implement and enforce AB's corporate initiatives and global People policies.
    • Highlight and respond to HR-related business and conduct risk and ensures best practice with employment issues including liaison with legal advisors as appropriate.
    • Manage Employee Relations cases (including running internal grievances, disciplinaries, restructuring and redundancies, etc.)
    • Work on projects both locally and globally which add value to AB India's service offering.
    • Drive People Operations for your respective business heads with support from a People Business Specialist and global People teams.
    • Maintain a strong and effective communication framework with the regional leadership team.

    Qualifications, Experience, Education:

    Required:

    • Master's in human resources/Equivalent qualification from an accredited business school
    • 10+ years of experience in talent management, HR operations, with 6+ years of experience as a business partner in high growth environments
    • People centric and "roll up your sleeves", solutions-oriented mindset and work style
    • Experience partnering with senior level leaders to guide and implement people strategy.

    Preferred and specific skills:

    • You bring experience across HR functional areas: coaching, employee relations, compensation, performance management, and program management.
    • You have effective verbal and written communication skills, presentations skills and a commitment to collaborate with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds.
    • You have a proven track record in exercising good judgment and discretion; maintain confidentiality.
    • You thrive in a fast-paced work setting and view ambiguity as an opportunity to solve.
    • You are not afraid of numbers i.e you have strong analytical skills.

    Location: Pune, India

    Work Environment: Hybrid setup (3 days in/ 2 days out) with flexibility in timings to cater to personal needs
