    Description

    THE ROLE

    As a Senior Analyst in the reconciliation team, you will be responsible for various types of reconciliation between the clients general ledger data and market data providers which include custody and prime brokers along with fund administrators.

    The role is a good blend of product knowledge and usage of technology.

    The role involves performing reconciliations & break analysis for all listed products independently. The individual will be responsible for coordinating with the client and relevant external sources for break resolution. An individual having a fair understanding of OTC products is an added advantage

    The ideal candidate will manage the daily deliverables independently, be a backup for the team, perform UAT and assist juniors in the team for query resolution.

    The role requires the ability to work under tight deadlines, and maintain quality delivery as per standard operating procedures along with excellent communication skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Daily, Weekly & Monthly reconciliation between Client, Admin and Prime broker data.
    • Research on pending cash, position, OTE and trade discrepancy.
    • Daily follow up with external sources including clients and brokers for faster resolution on breaks.
    • Interacting with Portfolio managers and Prime Brokers via phone and e-mail for resolution of fund queries.
    • Working on testing environment for testing of new functionality.

    Assisting team members with their issues while performing reconciliation.

    • Assisting manager and team in timely deliverable of services to client.
    • Provide training to new joiners.

    Skills Required

    MBA (finance) required with 2-6 years of experience working for a Hedge Fund Administrator or Hedge Fund Operations.

    Excellent knowledge of Capital market products.

    Past experience in managing hedge funds or similar types of alternative products (Exchange Listed(Fixed income, Options, Futures, Equities / Non listed products like TRS/CDS/IRS/ Equity Swaps)

    Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

    Number Cruncher and excellent communication skills.

    • Provide training to new joiners.

    Advantageous Skills

    Basic Knowledge of accounting applications like Enfusion /VPM / Geneva will be added advantage.

    Academic Requirements

    MBA with 2-6 year of experience
