    Description

    **Job Title:** Kafka Engineer

    Location: Remote

    Type: Contract

    Working Hours: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST (EST)

    Start Date: Immediate

    We are seeking an experienced Kafka Developer to join our team as a contract employee. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance data streaming applications built on top of Apache Kafka.

    About the Role:

    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and fault-tolerant Kafka-based data streaming applications.
    • Implement and manage Kafka clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
    • Lead Kafka Streams implementation projects from start to finish.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in all aspects of Kafka development.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of Kafka architecture, configuration, and deployment best practices.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience as an Integration Engineer or in a similar role.
    • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience participating in Kafka streaming implementation projects.
    • Extensive knowledge of Kafka implementations, including clustering, configuration, and deployment.
    • Proficiency in Python programming language.
    • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Mulesoft integration experience.
