We are recruiting world-class talent to ensure that the technology services are modernised, enabling Maersk to become a logistics integrator leveraging a competitive advantage through technology.

    Scope

    Maersk's IT estate is moving from a predominantly on-premises environment to one mainly in the Cloud. We are now building Cloud-native solutions and must apply security properly. The Cyber Architect should have relevant skills and experience in a similar environment and will act as the Cyber design lead on new technology initiatives.

    This is a hybrid role based in Bangalore or Pune, where ideally you'll be required to come into the office once every 1-2 weeks. However, if you prefer, you are welcome to come in more frequently.

    Specific Job Requirements

  • As a Senior Cyber Architect within the Cyber Architecture team, the role will provide cross-domain secure design leadership on cross-platform engagements.
  • The role will report to the Chief Cyber Architect and be seen as their representative at design workshops and related meetings.
  • The role will be versatile and require knowledge of multiple Cybersecurity domains not limited to Cloud security, Identity & Access Management, Security Monitoring, Network security, Cyber resilience and Application security.
  • Knowledge of designing Infrastructure as code security policies and Security as code.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Service Mesh and Container security measures
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.

    • Your Accountabilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining the Security architecture, blueprints and patterns for relevant platforms.
  • Evaluating and recommending security solutions to protect sensitive data and systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement security measures that meet business needs.
  • Staying current with emerging threats, technologies, and industry standards (Zero Trust, NIST, CIS etc.).
  • Working with the Cyber teams to create and enforce Cloud security policies using CASB and CSPM solutions for specific use-cases.
  • Maintain awareness of the security challenges faced across the numerous platforms, via the Portfolio Security Engineers
  • Influencing without authority, working with teams to ensure appropriate secure solutions are built without becoming a blocker to the development process.
  • Communicating security risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to Platform teams on Secure design.
  • Continuously improving the organisation's security posture through regular assessments and implementation of best practices.

    • What you'll bring:

    Effective communication skills. You'll be able to be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organisation and use your story telling and presentation skills to concisely explain complex ideas. On top of that you'll be able to 'read the room' and accurately guage how your audience is responding.

    Excellent stakeholder management skills . You'll be able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, across multiple time zones and cultures, remaining driven while adhering to our Maersk values.

    Self-starting attitude. In a company as complex as Maersk, you'll be a problem solver. Someone with attention to detail and a can-do attitude who can persist in finding answers.

  • Previous experience as a Cyber Security Architect, designing security for organisations.
  • Experience with the application of Cyber Security within DevSecOps, with a good understanding of customer-centric design principles and software development.
  • Excellent knowledge of Security Architecture principles
  • Experience of providing technical consultancy within a Digital/Cloud setting is preferred.
  • Skilled in theorical and practical application of cyber security standards and frameworks e.g., ISO27001, NIST, CIS, OWASP, SANS.
  • Deep understanding of application of cyber-attack frameworks e.g., MITRE ATT&CK and DEFENCE frameworks.
  • Extensive knowledge of security relevant data, including network protocols, ports, and common services such as TCP/IP protocols and application layer protocols (e.g., HTTP/S, DNS, FTP, SMTP, etc.).
  • Relevant qualifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, SABSA or equivalent are desirable.
