Role Description: Mainframe Architect Modernization Practice Leader.

• Head (Legacy and Modernization) is responsible for creating high-quality AMS/Modernizing services/solutions & delivering to clients on time that drive the highest levels of customer satisfaction and productivity.
• A culture of excellence and collaboration, identify, and implement best practices and tools, research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies, define and execute standards and methods, and facilitate communication and alignment among stakeholders.
• Resources across the company to ensure value-added solutions are delivered across to customers of deep and broad technology, methodology, and quality skills and simultaneously define and drive the overall quality agenda.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

• Accountable and Strategist for Service Offering, Pre Sales & Solutioning org, GTM with Sales team, Team development, Account management, Transformation & Training Initiatives, and adapting to new mainframe technologies.
• Implementing best practices and tools for software engineering, testing, automation, and continuous integration.
• The team provides feedback, and coaching to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Evaluating new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the performance, reliability, and security of our services.
• And execute standards, methods, and procedures by playing the role of customer advocate.
• Metrics goals that provide visibility and understanding of development effectiveness.
• Across Technology, Support, and Sales teams to prioritize assignments and manage risks/issues to ensure successful delivery with high quality.
• Communication and alignment among stakeholders, developers, testers, and customers, ensuring clear expectations and deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Tactical leadership with a track record of Presales solutions & delivery.
• To re-imagine & create new service offerings & competencies within the Mainframe area.
• Have extensive knowledge of Z Series/I Series
• Be responsible for conceptualizing ideas, and innovations to build solution Accelerators and Automation. Experience in REXX, CLIST programming, and any of the automation tools preferred. Should be strong in mainframe technologies COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMS DC, DB, CICS as a base. Should be proficient in modernizing mainframe applications to open systems. Expertise in developing mainframe Architecture and an understanding of modern mainframe market trends and Business needs are required. Require work experience in transformation projects in terms of mainframe migration to the cloud (AWS, Azure) and distributed systems.
• In handling Mainframe Development, Enhancement, AMS, Batch support, modernization, and Migration projects from the technical front.
• Knowledge of mainframe testing process, methodology, and best practices.
• Developing or interfacing with new age Eng. Practices like DevOps, Generative AI, etc.
• To Mainframe Infrastructure Services.
• Experience in Mainframe modernization and migration projects
• Expertise with Agile- software development teams; experience with Automation.
• Experience in COE-related activities, Pre-Sales activities (RFP, RFI and Solutioning, Estimation) for legacy apps and modernization engagements
• 15+ years exp in mainframe with 10+ years' experience managing CoE/practice/Delivery teams.
• In handling multiple accounts, defining the project scope, and milestones, and managing Budget and resources planning.
