    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and implement HVAC systems for oil and gas facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
    • Conduct heat load calculations, equipment sizing, and ductwork design to meet project requirements and specifications.
    • Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to integrate HVAC systems into facility designs and construction plans.
    • Perform technical reviews and evaluations of HVAC designs, equipment selections, and installation methods, providing recommendations for optimization and improvement.
    • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for HVAC systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure HVAC equipment, materials, and components, and oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
    • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor HVAC installation progress, quality, and compliance with design requirements and specifications.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, contractors, and clients on HVAC-related issues, troubleshooting problems and resolving conflicts as needed.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in HVAC design and engineering, incorporating new knowledge into project designs and practices.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
    • Professional engineering license (PE) preferred.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering, with specific experience in oil and gas projects preferred.
    • Proficiency in HVAC design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation software.
    • Strong understanding of HVAC principles, codes, standards, and regulations, including ASHRAE, NFPA, and API standards.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions.
    • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to HVAC design and installation in hazardous environments.

    Skills:

    • HVAC Design: Designing and engineering HVAC systems for oil and gas facilities.
    • Technical Documentation: Preparing engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
    • Project Coordination: Coordinating with project teams, contractors, and vendors.
    • Problem-Solving: Troubleshooting HVAC-related issues and conflicts.
    • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

    Preferred:

    • Professional engineering license (PE).
    • Specific experience in HVAC design for oil and gas projects.
