    Job title:
    Manager Spinning & TwistingLocation: Tamilnadu

    Reporting Structure:
    Reports to the MDEducation: Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering based degree.


    Role Purpose:
    To develop and implement Manufacturing strategy for India S&T with the aim of establishing world class facilities and performance.

    These in turn to provide reliability in service and quality within costs, whilst meeting policies on environmental, ethical and employment standards, fostering values through the organisation.

    Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

    Establish manufacturing strategies for all India units.
    Ensure that manufacturing function contributes positively to the overall financial plan of the company.
    Ensure environmental and safety requirements are fully compliant across all the units.
    Ensure global quality specifications are robust and standards achieved.
    Reduce costs with clear productivity improvements targets per unit.
    Identify and implement best practice methodology across the manufacturing function and sub functions.

    Support the effective new product development process taking new products/processes developed in the Innovation and R&D area to Bulk production.

    Develop and promote the continuous improvement culture across the manufacturing function including that of 6S+1 leadership.

    Operationalize the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) across the clusters and ensure a systematic routine of testing is in place annually.

    Ensure appropriate steers are developed for the annual plan process which include the management of the Manufacturing capex plan.

    As member of the sustainability action group lead the workstreams for waste, water, energy and ZDHC compliance with a view to delivering the set targets.

    Manage the dye and chemical selection process ensuring that the requirements of the CRSL and MRSL are met, and ecology impacts fully understood before introduction into the supply chain.

    Lead the process of removing Raw Materials from the supply chain that are either in contravention with the existing CRSL/MRSL or fall under existing or planned regulatory restrictions.

    Support the management of change process for major change initiatives across the manufacturing function.
    Support the process of succession planning for the manufacturing function.

    Education, Qualifications and Experience

    Experience in running a S&T mill is essential.
    Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering based degree.
    Ability to develop/implement plans and procedure, driving performance improvement actions.

    ISO ExperienceWorking knowledge Finance:
    P/L, B/S, Cash, and how operational lever impact each area. Good understanding of Cost of sales builds up and financial controls.
    Understanding of SAP or equivalent ERP systemBasic H&S certification (NEBOSH, IOSH)Basic engineering knowledge (Power, Steam, Mechanical, Pressure)
