    The Senior BI Developer plays a vital role within the Kaplan Analytics Team, working alongside Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts. This collaborative team is committed to establishing a robust data infrastructure and deploying data-driven solutions to propel key business initiatives forward. As a Senior BI Developer, seamless collaboration with the Business Team is fundamental. By delivering a robust data pipeline, sophisticated data manipulation logic, and user-friendly reporting, the BI Developer ensures that insights are easily accessible and actionable for informed decision-making.
    Primary Responsibilities
    • Data Integration and ETL: Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into the data warehouse or BI platform, ensuring data quality and consistency.
    • Data Modeling: Design and maintain data models, including dimensional models and data marts, to support reporting, analytics, and decision-making requirements.
    • Solution Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions, including data models, ETL processes, and reporting/visualization components.
    • Report and Dashboard Development: Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools such as Tableau, SSRS, to provide actionable insights to business users.
    • Performance Optimization: Identify and implement optimizations to improve the performance and efficiency of BI solutions, including query tuning, index optimization, and data partitioning.
    • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and validation of BI solutions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data and reports.
    • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and other IT teams to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and ensure alignment of BI solutions with business goals and objectives.
    • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including technical specifications, data dictionaries, and user guides. Share knowledge and expertise with team members through training sessions and knowledge sharing activities.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in BI and analytics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of BI solutions.
    • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to BI development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards in BI solution design, development, and implementation. Coach, Mentor junior resources.
    • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office
    • 30-day notification period preferred
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelors in Statistics/Mathematics, Engineering, Or Business Or any other equivalent degree. (masters preferred)
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence development.
    • Minimum 3 Years in Data Modeling
    • Minimum 5 Years SQL Proficiency
    • Minimum 2 Years in SSIS or any other ETL tool.
    • Minimum 3 Years in SSRS, Tableau or any other reporting/Data Visualization tool
    • Strong knowledge of basic and fundamental statistics.
    • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Strong Technical Leadership
    • Preferred skills in Cloud-Based BI Solutions
