LACTATIONCONSULTANTPositionOverview:The Lactation consultant atHealthLand forms an essential part of theteam.

Theprimary role of lactation consultantis to promote awareness about the importanceofbreastfeeding and committed to providingclients with the necessary educationandresources to reach their breastfeedinggoals.

Adept in coordinating lactationservicesfor mothers while serving as aconsultant for medical professionals and patients.
Theideal candidate will possess a deepunderstanding of the dietetics domaincoupledwith a passion for childrenswellbeing to drive sales and patientsatisfaction.


KeyResponsibilities:
1. Assess and evaluatebreastfeeding techniques and patterns of mothersandnewborns.2.Provide education and counselling to expectant mothers on thebenefits andtechniques ofbreastfeeding.3. Offer guidance and supportto mothers experiencing difficulties orchallengeswith breastfeeding such aslatching issues low milk supply or painfulnursing.4. Develop individualised care plansand provide appropriate interventionstoaddress breastfeedingconcerns.5. Collaborate with otherhealthcare providers such as paediatriciansandobstetricians to ensure coordinated carefor mother and baby.6. Maintain accurate anddetailed documentation of patientassessmentsinterventions andoutcomes.7.

Stay updated on the latestresearch guidelines and best practices inlactationsupport.8.Conduct group education sessions on breastfeeding and relatedtopics for newmothers and theirfamilies.9.

Provide emotional support andreassurance to mothers addressingtheirconcerns and anxieties related tobreastfeeding.

RequiredQualifications:
Certified LactationConsultant (CLC) certification or InternationalBoardCertified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)certification. Minimum of 35 yearsexperience in patient facing roleExperienceinproviding lactation support andcounselling tomothers.
Knowledge of infant feeding practices breastfeeding regulationsandbreastfeedingresources. Understanding of cultural andsocioeconomic factors that mayimpactbreastfeedingpractices. Ability to work flexible hoursincluding evenings and weekendstoaccommodate the needs of newmothers.

PreferredSkills:
Knowledge of paediatric healthcareservices. Basic Computer operatingknowledge Ability to use CRM tools fortracking leads and sales progress.
