Position Overview:

The Senior Cloud Data Architecture role is pivotal in shaping and executing our cloud data strategy. This position requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in architecting and implementing cloud-based data solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud data platforms, data engineering best practices, and emerging technologies in the data space.

The Senior Data Architect Lead is responsible for leading the development and delivery of data software products, managing the flow of work using Kanban and/or SAFe Agile methodologies, and designing and implementing data architecture solutions to support business objectives.

The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level data integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to work on designing a scalable cloud data architecture to support the company's data strategies with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, identify opportunities for data-driven insights, and design and document comprehensive solutions.
Develop and maintain artifacts and processes for the effective documentation and communication of development activities in the Enterprise Systems space.
Perform data analysis activities including data profiling, creation of data dictionaries, data transformation rules, and integration requirements.
Design, deliver, and document multi-platform architecture with a focus on data architectural standards, growth, performance, flexibility, reliability, scalability, and security.
Design and architect data products, data contracts, and data monitoring solutions at the enterprise level.
Identify and implement an automated testing application and process for continuous regression testing.
Collaborate on CI/CD requirements and assist with the team deployment process.
Define data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, and reference data.
Lead the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
Recommend solutions to implement new and improve existing enterprise systems.
Work on data governance policies and architect solutions to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Lead design, development, and implementation of prototypes and new.
Coordinate across organizations as required to support data integration efforts.
Establish and maintain the quality, supportability, and performance of all processes.
Design a scalable data quality monitoring system.

Qualifications:

Proven experience (6 to 8+ years) in cloud data architecture, with a focus on designing and implementing large-scale data solutions in public cloud environments.
Extensive knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
Extensive knowledge of database technologies (i.e., Snowflake, MS-SQL, etc.) and proficiency in at least one programming language (i.e., Python, Java, Scala).
Extensive experience working with Snowflake, Qlik replicate, DBT, and workflow management tools like Airflow.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus.
