Description

Essential duties include the locating and designing supports in a 3D model for various piping systems and performing associated calculations. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Support sales and production department in technical discussion and other related jobs pertaining to Support Design and Engineering.

General duties

Prepare work plus instructions to designers involved in piping support design package.

Discuss all pertinent problems encountered during design stage.

Ensure to openly communicate with various discipline.

Assist for piping support design on 3D platform.

Assist to prepare piping support bulk quantity forecasts for proposals.

Plan, arrange and schedule work activities for design team.

Identify, evaluate and resolve problems.

Perform effectively with vendors, clients, management and varied team members.

Report administratively to design department manager.

Conduct calculations and evaluate design of industrial facilities.

Detailed knowledge of 3D CAD system including E3D or SP3D.

Minimum 1 or 2 projects working experience in E3D and/or S3D.

Should have hands on experience on Auto CAD.

Specific duties

Assist to prepare piping support bulk quantity forecasts for proposals.

Provide commissioning and construction support with irregular site visits.

Provide technical supervision and support training engineers as well as designers in piping support design.

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech Mechanical

Experience : 7 to 10 years in piping industry
