about the role
Join the OBS group as an integral member of our Engineering Service, providing expertise and support for hosting platforms and internal business clients. Your role encompasses:
Designing expansive VMWare virtual infrastructures (SDDC stack) with advanced components (VRA, NSX, VCD, VSAN, VRO, VROPs, etc.).
Designing Solution based on Nutanix
Delivering Level 3 support to the delivery team, covering VMWare virtual infrastructure (SDDC stack) & Nutanix with advanced components.
Managing the Product Life-Cycle and technology updates, involving the study of new products, components, and features, proof of concept, and lab validation.
Overseeing Pre-Sales support, including Solution Validation, standard offerings, quotations for bill of materials, and work estimation.
Handling Engineering Design, encompassing low-level design, upgrade, and migration plans.
Steering Roadmap & Release management, including product industrialization, documentation, vulnerability and patch management.
Serving as the next-level support for existing Virtualization L3 resources.
Taking responsibility for technical escalations and other hardware and virtualization-related technical aspects.
Validating and documenting standard procedures for deploying and operating hardware and VMware solutions.
Providing documentation on architecture (admin guide, customer-oriented documentation, support to process documentation).
Validating and documenting new OS versions, roles/features, and new server hardware and VMware Stack for integration into the OCB Catalog.
Managing the lab implemented for various solution validations by the engineering team members.
Ensuring all engineers produce proper technical documents, project files, detailed technical architecture, training materials, and specific operational documents.
Participating in project meetings as requested by project managers/coordinators, providing valuable input.
Working from the overall architecture project (High-Level Design) to specify a detailed technical architecture (Low-Level Design) that meets our high-quality standards.
Facilitating the proper transfer of knowledge and skills to operational teams through activities such as training.
