    Job Title: Proposal Specialist (GSS)

    Organizational Structure: This position reports to the GSS Marketing Manager with a dotted line to the Proposal Lead. There are no direct reports for this role.

    Job Summary/Purpose: The Proposal Specialist works to develop proposal drafts for select industry and service line proposals. They collaborate cross-departmentally with the Proposal Strategists and occasionally with Business Development and Knowledge teams to execute multiple proposals simultaneously. The specialist gathers initial draft responses from available information, as required by formal Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and proposal outlines developed by pursuit teams. Additionally, they conduct research as needed or coordinate research through the Knowledge team. This role also involves maintaining content within the proposal system to ensure the latest and best material is available. Furthermore, it includes creating reporting across proposal activity, win/loss rates, and other metrics. This position requires strong organization and time management skills.

    Description:

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop proposal products and coordinate the drafting process, including adhering to the proposal process, maintaining quality control checks, working across the organization to assimilate information, and meeting tight deadlines (60%).
    • Continuously update best practice and standard content in the proposal system, including practice descriptions, bios, service approaches, references, and other content (30%).
    • Assist with simple research requests as needed (5%).
    • Assist in effectively tracking proposals and other reporting requirements (5%).

    Competencies:
    • Analytic and research skills
    • Detail and deadline-oriented

    Skills & Abilities:
    • Good knowledge of RFP and proposal process
    • Writing skills
    • Strong PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and/or other related applications
    • Proposal automation software experience is a plus
    • Preferably in the professional services industry (law, accounting, consulting, or engineering firms)
