    State Manager – Recon - Kolkata, India

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve sales targets for assigned area with a focus on product-wise and individual team member's sales targets.
    • Maintain sales records, analyze, and communicate trends to field staff with clear future action plans.
    • Train, counsel, motivate, and develop skills of team members.
    • Manage distribution channels for assigned area.
    • Monitor and control inventory levels at regional depots and superstockists.
    • Liaise with institutional stockists, liaison agents, and hospital stores to strengthen product availability and usage.
    • Organize, participate, and ensure effective promotion of company products during medical seminars and conferences.
    • Interact with Head Office Marketing to procure technical and marketing information.
    • Ensure ethical promotion of products to medical practitioners and hospitals.
    • Develop key accounts and Key Opinion Leaders for focus products.
    • Submit comprehensive regional reports every sales period.

    Requirements

    • Graduate or MBA preferred, B.Sc (life sciences) with management degree, or B. Pharm with management degree.
    • 8-10 years overall sales experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical industry, 2 years in regional supervisory position.
    • Proficient knowledge and experience in Orthopedics industry, including orthopedic device knowledge.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Self-driven and result-oriented approach.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Proven man-management, situation-handling, and crisis management skills.
    • Ability to grasp clinical terminology and communicate product features and benefits.
