Role & responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures to manage drying and sorting
• efficiently and safely and to enable the factory to meet targets
• Assist the Production Manager in planning, deciding and adhering to the monthly and daily
• schedule for drying
• Oversee the veneer sizing and grading processes as per the set quality standards
• Ensure the Dryer operates at the appropriate temperature for achieving the desired moisture
• content in the veneer, as per the requirements
• Ensure the sorting of veneer as per quality and grade and oversee the storage of the same
• prior to sending it to the next stage in the production process/sale
• Ensure the veneer graded for sale is dispatched as per the dispatch schedule
• Coordinate with the Dispatch In-charge for arranging logistics and completing paper work for
• enabling the disptach
• Check the Veneer inventory, post drying and share the information on a daily basis
• Ensure compliance to all safety, health and environment measures in the process
• Ensure adherence to systems and processes and to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure timely information pertaining to stocks, defects etc. is provided for creation of MIS reports

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 8-10 years with knowledge of plywood manufacture; best practices in operating the peeling and drying machines; inventory management and labour relations is must. Degree from IPRITI / FRI preferred.
