    Technical Sales Support Specialist-Data Center Automation

    You will be working as Technical Sales Support Specialist-Data Center Automation and will be part of Process Automation business for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Global Engineering Manager and will be responsible for preparing complete technical bid documents like proposed system architecture, bill of materials, shutdown plans, scope of supply etc., upon receiving RFQ document from LBUs.

    Your responsibilities

    • Understanding the RFQ document is details and be able to get required input from LBU through effective communication
    • Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/sales specialists about ABB products/systems/applications
    • Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries
    • Preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues
    • Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries
    • Supporting the sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers

    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or commissioning of automation systems for data center projects
    • Should have at least 10 to 12 years of experience in handling EPMS and BMS projects is a must
    • Should have experience of at least 5 years in working on technical proposals for data center projects comprising of automation systems
    • Knowledge of PLC, DCS and network architecture is a must. Should be conversant with at –least one of the automation systems of make ABB (800xA system and AC800 M series controllers)/ Siemens/Schneider/Honeywell/Rockwell etc
    • Knowledge of networking concepts (network architecture design, switch, router and firewall configurations)
    • Knowledge in interfacing various protocols like Modbus, OPC, BACnet, Profibus, Ethernet I/P
