Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Editorial Manager to oversee the production of two prominent trade magazines: Indian Jeweller and Diamond World. The Editorial Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of editorial content creation, publication scheduling, and team coordination to ensure the magazines meet the highest standards of quality and relevance to their respective audiences. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional editorial skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist department head in developing and executing editorial strategies to align with the objectives and target audience of each magazine.
• Assist department head in planning, assigning, and coordinating content creation, including articles, features, interviews, and editorials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to editorial standards.
• Conduct thorough research and stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform content planning and maintain the magazines' relevance.
• Collaborate closely with writers, editors, photographers, and designers to ensure cohesive and engaging magazine layouts.
• Manage the editorial calendar, publication schedules, and deadlines to ensure smooth and timely production processes.
• Review and edit articles for accuracy, clarity, style, and tone, maintaining the magazines' high editorial standards.
• Liaise with external contributors, industry experts, and stakeholders to secure exclusive content and interviews.
• Represent the magazines at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, networking with key stakeholders and building relationships to enhance the magazines' visibility and reputation.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in editorial management, experience in the jewellery, diamond, or luxury goods industries is a plus.
• Strong editorial skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading, with impeccable attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Creative mindset and innovative approach to content creation, with a keen eye for visual storytelling and design.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google Work Space
