- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff within the unit.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the nursing unit, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
- Participate in Recruitment and sourcing Right Talent
- Plan, implement relevant technical and behavioural training program based on Training Need Analysis at every Level.
- Monitor Training Effectiveness with continuous effort to excellence.
- Ensuring overall development and retention through proper training, engagement, career planning, Succession Plan and Upskilling team members
- Ensure that patient care activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges within the unit.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Implement strategies to enhance Patient experience.
- Ensure that nursing practices comply with regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Monitor quality indicators and implement measures to improve patient outcomes.
- Investigate and address patient and family concerns or complaints related to nursing care.
- Develop and manage the unit budget, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase efficiency without compromising patient care quality.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, other healthcare professionals, and administration.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration within the nursing unit and with other departments.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and committees to address patient care issues and quality improvement initiatives.
- Strengthen Nurse Clinician Partnership and collaboration.
- Organize Huddles, Skip levels meet with Interdisciplinary team members.
- Develop and implement plans for responding to emergencies within the nursing unit.
- Ensure that nursing staff are trained and prepared to handle emergency situations effectively.
- Identify areas for performance improvement within the nursing unit.
- Implement evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Monitor performance metrics and outcomes data to track progress and provide recommendations in building a High performing team.
