Responsibilities

The Primary Responsibilities For This Role IncludeReporting to the team lead.
You will be the subject matter expert (SME) for testing and quality for the team.
Support and drive the approach (test strategy) to testing in your team.
Ensure that the testing in the team is efficient and effective.
Providing mentoring and training where applicable to your team and project.
Ensuring that the team is adhering to the process.
Taking customer feedback to help drive improvement in testing.
Support the team when it comes to performance testing.
Develop appropriate KPI's and metrics.

Working with not only the internal teams but external teams such as support, professional services, customer success to improve quality and experience for our customers.

Designing and implementation of tests both manual and automatic – using the frameworks available.
Understand the automation pyramid and different objective of the test levels, ensuring that your team implements them effectively.
Highlight weaknesses, gaps or failings in the quality and testing process.

Then working closely with the stakeholders to ensure appropriate priorities are set for any improvement initiatives, and said initiatives are implemented in a timely manner.

Influence software teams to raise the bar on quality deliverables and build expert knowledge of our products.
Highlight and escalate risks

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications / SkillsAxway's products are technical in nature and complex to understand and while the attributes below are preferred, the stronger your technical abilities the better.

Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent5+ year Experience of QA and Testing2+ years of experience working in Java, or other Object-Oriented languages.2+ working with test automation open sources tools, Rest Assured, TestNG, Selenium, JMeter etc.

Excellent communicator, both verbally and writtenGood understanding of automation tooling and processes that support CI/CDExperience with database schema design and database administration (both No-SQL and SQL a plus)Experience working with Hazelcast a plusStrong understanding and experience of Agile software delivery methodologiesProven ability to estimate, plan and coordinate activities within teams involving multiple stakeholders throughout the SDLC and identify and escalate risk.

Experience with technologies:

HTTP/S, APIs, OAuth, File/API/B2B Integration Patterns, File format processing and transformationKnowledge and experience of cloud technologies – AWS, Azure etc.

Knowledge and experience of containers and container orchestration – Kubernetes, Openshift, etc.
Basic Linux system administration skills
