    Description

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Candidate should have fair understanding of security market products (Equity Cash, Equity Futures and Options & Currency Derivatives) and performing of BOD and EOD activities. Candidate is expected to complete the daily BOD activity before market starts and ensure client positions, margins are set up on timely basis and no client impact.
    • Candidate should have hands an experience of independently handling broking risk desk, understanding of Products like CNC, NRML, acceptable collateral with applicable valuations etc.
    • Thorough understanding of margin requirement for Cash and Derivatives segment i.e. SPAN, Peak/EOD margin, intraday margin etc.
    • Client set up on trading system, setting up applicable broking rules as per the client segment, updation of margin, margin withdrawal, mapping of restricted security basket to respective category of clients
    • Regular monitoring illiquid, banned securities from exchanges (BSE/NSE) and maintenance of restricted basket for each category of clients present in the RMS.
    • Should be familiar and hands on experience of monitoring of client position on real time basis, margin call process, margin alert, position square off process.
    • Candidate is required to closely work with dealing team and risk head for reviewing risk management policy and setting up process for new products or changes.
    • Its expected to closely working with Broking Ops team and FO for margining process, tracking and follow up with FO for timely settlements and follow escalation matrix as per risk policy
    • Candidate should ensure that client trades in all segments are executed in compliance with regulatory requirements and risk policy.
    • Limit setting up on exchange terminals at entity level in accordance with the capital placed at the exchange, client set up on trading system, monitor the utilization levels in each of the segments and ascertain the total value of exposure to be allowed to the dealers for each of the segments.
    • Ensure BAU is performed as per the SLA and in controlled manner to avoid any errors or audit observations.
    • Candidate should able to manage seemliness implementation of changes, UAT in dealing system. Working experience on TechXL system would be added advantage.
    • Candidate should be capable of managing multiple projects, system migration along with BAU.
    • Liaise with market intermediaries such as exchanges, custodies, DPs.
    • Thorough understanding of Capital Market business.
    • Demonstrates clear understanding of broking risk systems, exchange terminals, products and processes
    • Good knowledge of accounting principles.
    • Escalates breaches of policies and procedures appropriately
    • Understands and complies with all applicable governance, compliance, risk policies and procedures
    • Requires no supervision. Manages time and prioritises workload. Ensures the output of the team is delivered on time
    • Individual should be able to understand the regulatory circulars and according implement the same within the given timelines by coordinating with Technology /Product /Business/Compliance.
    • Candidate should be able to design & implement robust controls and take corrective actions where necessary.
    • Should be expertise in client servicing and a solution provider to the stakeholder as well to this team.
    • Candidate should also able to take additional responsibility to support AML monitoring, working with MLRO on monitoring alerts and closure process, & also able to support reconciliation activity.

    Candidate Profile & Skill Requirements

    • Fair understanding of regulatory circulars, compliance requirements & regulatory filings of Broking licence with Exchanges/SEBI.
    • Knowledge of the securities market (Cash, FNO, CDS and IRF segment) risk management, recons, corporate actions, daily reporting to exchange, collateral management etc.
    • Solid analytical skills with ability to prepare reports/resolve problems
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines, and can prioritize ones own work to achieve them
    • CA/ICWAI or equivalent degree in finance
    • Previous experience of independently managing broking risk desk.
