Overview:

A VMCOperator or Vertical Machining Center Operator plays a crucial rolein manufacturing processes by setting up and operating computernumerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components.This position is vital in ensuring the efficient and accurateproduction of components for variousindustries.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Efficiently operateand set up Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) to produce parts tothe required specifications
• Read and interprettechnical drawings blueprints and workinstructions
• Knowledge and experience withvarious tooling and work holding setups
• Performroutine machine maintenance andtroubleshooting
• Monitor machine operations toensure proper functioning and identifyissues
• Conduct quality checks using measuringinstruments such as micrometers calipers andgauges
• Adhere to safety and quality standardswhile following standard operatingprocedures
• Collaborate with team members toensure smooth production flow
• Documentproduction and setup activities as per companyprocedures
• Identify and implement processimprovements to enhance productivity andquality

RequiredQualifications:

• High school diplomaor equivalent qualification
• Proven experienceas a VMC Operator or similar role
• Proficiencyin reading and interpreting technical drawings andblueprints
• Knowledge of Fanuc or Haas orMitsubishi Operating System
• Ability to performmachine setup and tooling changes
• Familiaritywith quality control processes and measuringinstruments
• Strong attention to detail andprecision in work
• Problemsolving skills totroubleshoot machine and productionissues
• Ability to work effectively in a teamenvironment
• Adherence to safety protocols andunderstanding of machine operationhazards
