    Description
    :
  • Provide software solutions to manufacturing systems.
  • Deliver results to projects that range from development to manufacturing.
  • Advance software technology on behalf of Manufacturing Technology & Engineering organization, Corning's corporate technology team
  • Work with team to develop system requirements, establish design constraints, and set priorities.
  • Build software solutions for internal customer projects.
  • Participate in brainstorming and other ideation activities related to software development.
  • Help develop Software and Software Project management best practices (from coding best practices to project management, unit test, archive management, etc...).
  • Communicate development, testing results and project progress to team members and leadership.
  • Integrate new systems and technologies into Development and Manufacturing systems.
  • Transfer new technologies to equipment and process receivers, provide remote system support, and develop system documentation.

    • Projects involved with:

  • May require up to 70% travel for project support mainly in Asia region.
  • Communication with multiple stake holders such as manufacturing and engineering teams

    • Education and Exprience :

  • Master's degree and above in Computer Science or Information Technology with 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Or Bachelor's degree in computer science with 5+ years of exprienc

    • Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in IMS/MES Projects (Scoping, Requirements, Design, Development and Deployment)
  • Experience following a structured software development process (SA/SD, Programming discipline, Test case/Test plan, Change control, etc.)
  • Experience in Agile software development
  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented design and programming (C#, VBA, Java```...)
  • Strong knowledge in database design, optimization and maintenance, including Oracle, SQL Server and/or MySQL environment
  • Strong knowledge of network maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with using design pattern like Abstract Factory, Prototype, Adapter...
  • Good understanding and experience in different operating systems, such as Win 10, Windows server, Linux system, etc.
  • Good understanding and experience in Embedded system
  • Good in system documentation.

    • Soft Skills:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and present project related material in front of the Customer/Receiver.
  • Able to work independently with minor supervision.
